North Evia

North Evia

The company was founded back in 1966 by Athanasios Filaretos in Asminio village, at the North Evia region of Greece. What makes the products of North Evia unique, are the high quality fish collected from the extra clear Aegean sea and the combination of traditional recipe preparations with up to date production practices. The boats roam through the Aegean Sea in search of the best fish, including sardines, anchovies, mackerel, tuna, herring and seafood. The products are kept either in sea salt, oil for retail or oil for food service, smoked in a box, in vacuum packs or in jars. Some of these delicacies are marinated with salt, lemon and herbs, making them a perfect addition to raki and ouzo. They can be served as an appetizer or as finger foods for large gatherings. The best practices are followed in order to preserve the fish and keep them fresh as long as possible. The company’s demanding quality checks are also recognized according to the international standards ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 (HACCP) certifications.
